These are our general LX (service) terms and conditions. These, together with the references contained on this page, apply to every quotation and agreement that we, LX MATTEN (with Chamber of Commerce number: 51730855), conclude with you. We have the right to change these general terms and conditions. When purchasing, you agree that the latest version of these general terms and conditions will always apply to our agreement.
Article 1 - Products
- We sell entrance mats through our webshop at www.lxmatten.com .
- All images, specifications and other information about the products are indicative. LX MATTEN cannot guarantee that the colors displayed exactly match the actual colors of the products.
- All products are custom made and may therefore differ. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies on our website regarding designs, photos and other information about a product.
- All quotations from LX MATTEN are without obligation and not binding in the event of inaccuracies. An offer consists of a description of a product and services.
- The order will be completed when we have received full payment.
Article 2 – Orders
- If you place an order via the webshop, you must enter your details (name and address). You are responsible for the accuracy of this data.
- After you have placed an order, LX MATTEN will send a confirmation by email. This may also end up in your spam folder.
- LX MATTEN may refuse a request to change a product if this could have consequences for the work in qualitative or quantitative terms (such as changes to a tailor-made product).
Article 3 - Payments
- The price of the products is stated including VAT in our webshop.
- You can pay in our webshop with the Shopify payment service; iDEAL, PayPal, Apple Pay and credit card.
- The consumer enters into a payment obligation during the online ordering process if he agrees to the order.
Article 4 - Deliveries
- The product is delivered via DPD.
- DPD delivers the product to the address specified in the order. You can no longer change the address free of charge if we have passed the order on to the manufacturer and the order has already been processed.
- LX MATTEN is not liable for damage caused by transport from the first door/first entrance.
- The buyer must be present during delivery. If delivery was not successful, we recommend contacting DPD.
- Delivery may take place outside the given time indication due to traffic conditions or other unexpected developments.
- If you are not satisfied with the way the products have been transported, you can contact DPD.
- The delivery times in the order confirmation are indicative. We do our best to deliver the order quickly. If the order is delayed, you can contact us at contact@lxmatten.com. We guarantee that the order will be received no later than 10 weeks after order confirmation. If this does not work, you can request us to (a) immediately refund the amount you paid for the product and cancel the order.
- We cannot ship products to PO boxes.
- Visible damage to the goods must be reported to DPD immediately upon receiving the package. Hidden transport damage must be reported to DPD as soon as it is discovered.
Article 5 - Change of Delivery Date
You can coordinate a change in delivery date through DPD via the 14-digit tracking code you receive from us. We can also try to help you if you email immediately after ordering via contact@lxmatten.com.
Article 6 - Return
- The possibility of return does not apply to custom-made products as described in paragraph 2.
- Products that are custom-made according to the specifications (such as the desired size and design) cannot be returned. This includes our entire range of entrance mats that we have specially developed per order.
Article 7 – Guarantees
- LX MATTEN guarantees that the products meet the usual requirements and standards that may be imposed at the time of delivery. Complaints about material or production errors will of course be taken into consideration.
- You have a 2-month warranty on products provided that all use and maintenance instructions have been followed and carried out.
- The warranty does not apply if the product is used incorrectly.
- The warranty also does not apply if a defect arises due to circumstances beyond LX MATTEN's control.
Article 8 – Retention of title
Ownership of the products will only transfer to you after you have paid the entire amount.
Article 9 - Liability
- We are not liable for incorrect product information on the website
- We are also not liable for damage caused by use of the product. The right to compensation will in any case never exceed the amount of the ordered and paid product.
- When using the product outside the Netherlands, you must verify whether the products are suitable for use in the country in question and whether the products meet the conditions and (legal) requirements imposed on them.
Article 10 - Intellectual property rights
All intellectual property rights (such as: copyrights, logos, word marks) on our texts, photos, images and other materials are our property (or we manage them with the permission of the rights holder). No one may infringe on this.
Article 11 – Force majeure
- LX MATTEN does not have to fulfill its obligations in the event of force majeure.
- LX MATTEN may suspend the obligations under the agreement during the period that the force majeure continues. If this period lasts longer than 3 months, both parties may terminate the assignment without being obliged to pay compensation.
Article 12 - Complaints procedure
- If you have a complaint about the execution of the agreement, we would like to hear from you. Send your complaint as quickly as possible (and describe it as completely as possible) to service@lxmatten.com. We will handle your complaint as quickly as possible, no later than five working days after we have received the complaint. If it takes longer to settle the complaint, you will receive confirmation of the complaint within five days and we will let you know when we expect a substantive answer. If we cannot resolve the complaint mutually, a dispute will arise that falls under the dispute settlement procedure.
- If it is established that an item is defective and this has been reported in time, LX MATTEN will replace, repair or reimburse the defective item within a reasonable period after written notification of the defect by you. If you report a complaint later than 2 months after delivery, you are no longer entitled to repair, replacement or compensation.
Article 13 - Dispute settlement
Dutch law applies to these general terms and conditions and the agreements we conclude with you, with the exclusion of the Vienna Sales Convention. In the event of a dispute, the court in Amsterdam has jurisdiction.
Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and privacy, but sometimes we need personal information from you. In this statement you can read what data we use and how we store, protect and process this data. This privacy policy applies to our website www.lxmatten.coml (the "Website") and the services we offer (the "Services"). We treat your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (the "Relevant Legislation")
Under 16 years old
If you are under 16 years of age, you need permission from your parents or legal guardian to use our Website and Services.
Personal data
In order to offer our Website and Services, we process personal data. The term "personal data" refers to information with which you can be identified as a person. This definition is in accordance with the Relevant Legislation.
Your consent
We may store your data at various times, such as when you visit our Website, create an account on our Website, use our Services or when you contact us. What data do we collect and what do we do with it?
To use our Website and Services we need the following information from you:

We also collect some information from you that is not personal when you use our Website, such as:

Login
We store the following information on your account: passwords and username. This way you do not have to enter this information again. We also store - for the ease of use of your own account - the details of previous orders.
Social media
If you use social media functions on our site, the social media provider may send us information (according to its policy). For example, this may include your name, profile image, gender, friends lists and other information that you have made available. Don't you want this? Then change the privacy settings on your social media account.
If you indicate that you like an article, that article will appear on your social media account if you are logged in. When you visit a web page that uses social media plug-ins, your browser sends certain information to the provider of your social media account. We have no control over this data exchange.
Competitions
If you participate in a promotion or competition, we ask the following information from you: e-mail address, date of birth, place of birth, place of residence and telephone number. This way we can carry out the promotion and announce the prize winner(s). We also measure the response to our advertising campaigns.
Newsletter
LX MATTEN does not yet offer newsletters, but does store e-mail addresses. To ensure your consent, we use the opt-in system for newsletters. An unsubscribe option will be included in future communications in this way.
Orders
For your order we need your name, email address, address(es) and payment details. We will register, store and process your data for the correct processing of the order. In addition, this information can be used for a possible later warranty. When processing your order, we provide our manufacturer with the necessary personal data for delivery.
We will only use your data for the above purposes, or for a purpose that is closely related to this. This way, your data will never be used by us in an unexpected way.
Security
We do everything we can to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, use, modification or distribution of your personal data by unauthorized persons. This means that those who have nothing to do with your data cannot access it.
Retention period
We will not store your personal data for longer than we need it for the purposes we described earlier.
